Vermilion libraries offer remote printing, with a two-hour pickup window

Documents can be sent from a phone or laptop; the library’s guide explains payment, branch selection and card options.

Vermilion Parish Library patrons can send a document from a phone or laptop and collect the printout at a branch. The library’s printing instructions, checked September 16, 2026, list the service at all six parish locations, with a separate printer identifier and direct link for each branch.

The instructions tell remote users to choose the branch printer, upload the document, adjust the settings and enter an email address. Payment and final release happen at the library’s print-release terminal. The library lists black-and-white printing at 10 cents and color at 25 cents, with cash required at every branch.

Timing matters: the same page says print jobs are automatically deleted after two hours. Sending a document therefore does not reserve it indefinitely for a later visit. The page also lists branch hours and weekday lunch closures so patrons can plan collection.

For borrowing, the library’s card page, consulted September 16, distinguishes full cards from virtual cards. Full-card applicants can print the age-appropriate form and bring it to a branch. Virtual cards provide electronic services but do not allow checkout of physical books, magazines or DVDs; the library says people who already have a card cannot obtain a virtual one, even if their existing card is expired or blocked by fines.

Students arranging an exam have another option to ask about. The library’s services page, checked September 16, says staff may proctor exams for parish residents when staff and space are available. The issuing school must provide all testing requirements, including technical requirements, before the exam.
